Purpose of the Position: includes maintaining accurate inventory records, processing orders promptly and accurately, and ensuring that the warehouse is organized and safe.

Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management: Keeping track of inventory levels, organizing stock, and ensuring accurate record-keeping of all items.
- Order Processing: Receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, and preparing orders for shipment.
- Quality Control: Inspecting goods received and ensuring they meet quality standards. Identifying any damaged or missing items and resolving discrepancies.
- Stock Rotation: Managing stock rotation to ensure older items are used first (FIFO – First In, First Out), reducing the risk of product expiration or obsolescence.
- Warehouse Organization: Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment. This includes shelving, labeling, and ensuring proper storage of items.
- Equipment Maintenance: Performing regular maintenance checks on warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other tools, to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Safety Compliance: Adhering to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for all warehouse staff. This includes proper handling of hazardous materials.
- Reporting: Generating reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and other relevant metrics to track warehouse performance and efficiency.
- Communication: Coordinating with other departments, such as shipping, receiving, and purchasing, to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of goods.
- Training: Providing training and guidance to other warehouse staff on best practices, safety procedures, and use of equipment.
Qualifications:
- A Warehouse Officer is typically responsible for overseeing and managing all warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, and distributing goods.
- A high school diploma or equivalent. or associate degree or vocational training in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Previous experience working in a warehouse or similar environment is often required. Candidates with experience in inventory management, shipping and receiving, and operating warehouse equipment may be preferred.
- Warehouse officer should have strong organizational and time management skills.
- The role may require lifting and moving heavy objects, as well as standing or walking for extended periods.
